As an economic program, the NB PNP selects, and nominates, qualified business people and skilled workers from around the world who will live in New Brunswick and contribute to the local economy.

New Brunswick PNP Business Applicants

As a New Brunswick PNP Business Applicant:

  • You must be between 22 and 55 years of age.
  • Have sufficient English and/or French language ability.
  • Have been awarded a high school diploma for education completed after junior/middle school and before college, university and other formal training
  • You will live and operate a business in New Brunswick.
  • You have relevant and proven management experience in three of the last five years.
  • You demonstrate an understanding of the business environment in New Brunswick.
  • You must prepare a business plan of economic benefit to New Brunswick.
  • You have a personal net worth of at least CAD $300,000.
  • You will submit a signed copy of the Deposit Agreement and a conditionally refundable deposit of CAD $75,000, prior to nomination.
  • You score a minimum of 50 points in the selection factors.

Skilled Worker with Employer Support

As an economic program, the NB PNP selects, and nominates, qualified workers from around the world who will live in New Brunswick and contribute to the New Brunswick economy through full time ongoing employment.

As a Skilled Worker Applicant with Employer Support:

  • You must be between 22 and 55 years of age.
  • Have sufficient English and/or French language ability.
  • You have the education, qualifications and/or licenses needed to fulfill your job duties.
  • You will live and operate a business in New Brunswick.
  • Your offer of employment is genuine.
  • Your job is represented in one of the following Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels:
    • Skill levels O, A, B.
    • Skill level C, Skill type 1, 3,7, 8, 9.
    • Skill level D, Skill type 1, 3,7, 8,9.
  • You are a full-time employee of a New Brunswick Company.
  • Your job is in an area of skill shortage.
  • Your job must provide a comparable industry rate of pay.
  • Your job complies with New Brunswick employment standards.
  • You score a minimum of 50 points in the selection factors.

Skilled Worker with Family Support

As a Skilled Worker Applicant with Family Support:

  • You must be between 22 and 55 years of age.
  • You are a close relative of the family supporter.
  • Have sufficient English and/or French language ability.
  • You have the education, qualifications and/or licenses needed to fulfill your job duties.
  • You will live and operate a business in New Brunswick.
  • You have at least two years of continuous full-time work experience within the last five years, in your intended occupation in New Brunswick.
  • Your job is represented in one of the following Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels:
    • Skill levels O, A, B.
    • Skill level C, Skill type 1, 3,7, 8, 9.
    • Skill level D, Skill type 1, 3,7, 8,9.
  • You are a full-time employee of a New Brunswick Company.
  • You have the funds to settle in New Brunswick. The Applicant must have a minimum of CAD $10,000 CAD and CAD $2,000 for each accompanying family member.
  • You score a minimum of 50 points in the selection factors.
